Nicole Richie has had such a diverse career from reality star to author to fashion designer, and now she has started her next exciting chapter. The Candidly Nicole star is hosting her first women's conference this November. It will be part of the live-event series, Pearl xChange, which she just launched.

She spoke about the motivation behind the conference in a video on Oprah.com. "I'm 34 and the past four years have been really interesting. It's been a time for me to kind of quiet down and listen to the world around me. I have a husband, we have two kids and I'm really building my life. That's what my 30s have been about. That's been the theme: Focusing on what I want to do and who I want to be and really taking that seriously".

The conference was originally supposed to focus on just 30-something women, but Richie saw so much interest from women in their 20s as well as women in their 40s and 50s that she expanded the event. "We are all in the process of building our lives," she said in the video.

It will be held at the Sheraton Universal in Los Angeles on Nov. 8 and will include speakers from all walks of life including CIA intelligence officer Jeanette Epps, life coach Dougall Fraser and a special guest appearance by Gwyneth Paltrow, who will talk about health and wellness amongst other topics. "We will talk about everything from conscious living to science to building your business. We're really covering all aspects of life between the six speakers," she said in the video.
