Nick Jonas and older bro Joe Jonas started their music careers together winning over pre-teens as members of the Jonas Brothers, so it makes sense that the close siblings would get inked together to celebrate a special MTV Video Music Awards.
In anticipation for a big night at the 2016 VMAs—where Nick performed his single "Bacon" live with Ty Dolla Sign and Joe's band DNCE was up for Best New Artist (they ended up taking home the award)—the pair decided to put their brotherly bond in writing with a pair of matching tattoos.
Nick took to Snapchat to share a video of the two getting inked. The "Jealous" hitmaker got a thin horizontal arrow on the back of one arm while Joe got the same arrow, though inverted and on the triceps of the other arm.
As Nick's final shot of himself and Joe with their new tats on display shows: When the brothers stand side by side the two arrows point toward the other person.
While the 23-year-old and 27-year-old former boy banders have yet to describe the meaning behind the twinning ink, we can guess that it has something to do with how close the brothers are to each other.
