Considering we're living in the Age of Social Media, it's no big surprise that New York Fashion Week doesn't only occur on the runway anymore. From the models getting ready backstage to the show's finale and reactions from show-goers, every facet of each designer's collection is broadcast live via Tweets, Periscopes, Instagrams, Snapchats, and the like.

With Marc Jacobs fall/winter 2016 show closing out #NYFW last night, we're taking a look at what brands and celebs garnered the most conversation on Twitter over the past eight days. Hint: The answer may surprise you.

As it turns out, not only was Rihanna's show for Puma the most-Tweeted about collection during #NYFW, but the singer also took the crown for the most-Tweeted about celeb. Kanye West's #YeezySeason3 took the number two spot in the collection category, followed by Malan Breton, Tommy Hilfiger, and Coach.

Along with Riri, the celeb category included quite a few models, unsurprisingly. Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner, Lady Gaga (who walked Marc Jacobs's show last night), and Kylie Jenner all followed behind the singer. See some of the most viral tweets from #NYFW below.
