It's National Dog Day, and the stars took to Instagram in droves to celebrate their beloved furry friends. From hilarious photos of canines using Snapchat filters to pups simply playing with their toys, your favorite dog-loving celebs shared it all.
One of our favorites? Bella Thorne's too cute picture of herself giving one lucky furry friend a very good belly rub. "'Dogs never bite me. Just humans' -M.M. #nationaldogday #puppylove," the 18-year-old actress captioned the darling image. But she wasn't the only one to post an adorable photo of her pooch. Lucy Hale, Olivia Munn, Ellen DeGeneres, Gina Rodriguez, Carrie Underwood, Ryan Seacrest, Eva Mendes, and more all shared snaps of their dogs.

H A P P Y #nationaldogday🐶 Two of the best decisions we ever made right here. THANK YOU to @socialteesnyc @loveleorescue for rescuing these two perfect pups and for the work you do every single day to save animals and find their forever homes. To anyone looking to add a new pet to their life, please choose to rescue. Any breed you want- pure bred, mix breed, hypoallergenic- you can find as a rescue. And they're really smart too. Chance is already doing math on the abacus and Frankie just got certified as a yoga instructor. #adoptdontshop 🐶💛
I said goodbye to my best friend yesterday. I don't quite have the words yet, but the condolences are coming in fast as the word has spread. Thank you to everyone who loved Patch, and is sending that love my way. He changed a lot of lives, truly. I watched this dog soothe people, heal people, help people, and make people laugh, squeal, and grin with happiness. He was one in a million. Yesterday my loved ones and I made sure to give him #PatchsVeryBestDay. And today being #NationalDogDay feels like such a sweet coincidence. I think he'd like that. Thank you P. You are so missed. ❤️✨🙏🏼
It's #nationaldogday ! These are my two furry babies- the brown one is the mother of the white + brown one. I love them so much. Momma was in the streets with her 5 puppies , then in the South Central LA "shelter", then to my house for a planned Foster . That was almost 9 years ago ! I am so lucky we found each other 😍 #adoptdontshop
