It may seem surprising that a handbag designer would partner with a foodie site to create a capsule collection, but for the masterminds behind MZ Wallace and Food52, it made total sense. The brands established a strong relationship during their first product launch when they created a market tote to benefit the Edible Schoolyard Project, so in their eyes, another collaboration was inevitable—they just needed the right cause to support.

Enter charity: water, an organization that provides families in developing countries with tools to access clean drinking water. To date, charity: water has raised over $155 million, which has helped over 4.6 million people in 22 countries over the past 9 years, and has garnered support from celebrities like Jessica Biel and Emmy Rossum, among others.

To pay homage to the non-profit's mission, MZ Wallace and Food52 co-designed an abstract water print to translate onto 4 of MZ Wallace's already bestselling shapes. The vibrant pattern appears on two cosmetic bags and an iPad. The fourth piece, a Metro tote, is discreetly lined with the colorful print on the inside. The result? An everyday bag that's classic in color and shape, but reminds you of the unique contribution you've made every time you reach inside.

These limited edition pieces launch today on both food52 and MZ Wallace's sites, and 15 percent of each sale goes back to the charity. You can also donate to charity: water directly here.
