Actress Joey King had quite the evening last night, and she's giving InStyle the exclusive look. The actress, who plays the daughter of Kate Hudson in the new movie, Wish I Was Here, attended the premiere in New York City, and shared all the details from her night. Scroll down to read her Q&A and see her behind-the-scenes snaps from the evening!
What did you do the morning of the premiere?
I was so excited for the premiere! I painted my toes blue to match my dress, I woke up too late for breakfast because I'm on California time. But I ordered a Turkey sandwich and a side of cauliflower from room service.
What outfit did you decide to wear?
I decided to wear a dress from Moods Of Norway. I fell in love with the dress because it had a paper clip pattern on it and I loved the silhouette.
Tell us about your hair and makeup, the inspiration for your look.
The inspiration for my look was Audrey Hepburn. She was an iconic beauty in a non traditional way for her time and I wanted my look somewhat like hers. I felt so happy with the way it turned out. My glam girl Sonia did a great job.
What was the red carpet like? Who was the most fun person you ran into all night?
My driver showed up 20 minutes late so it was a fast carpet for me, but nonetheless it was still very thrilling! Everyone looked so beautiful and we were all so happy to be there. All the Kickstarter backers made making this movie possible and we were all so thankful!
What was the first thing you did when you got home at the end of the night?
The first thing I did when I got back to my hotel from the after party, was go back out into the city! I was so hungry so I walked down to Times Square and got some NY pizza! It was the perfect way to end my extraordinary night.
