Temps may be cooling down, but our sights are set on spring. One frequently-searched topic at this time of year? You guessed it: the much-anticipated spring 2015 shows during Paris Fashion Week. The Parisian festivities kick off on Tuesday, Sept. 23, with presentations from Anthony Vaccarello and Lucien Pellat-Finet, then continue for a nine-day stretch at venues including the Grand Palais and the Jardin des Tuileries before coming to close with Louis Vuitton’s finale on Wednesday, Oct. 1.
Some anticipated highlights? "I'm looking forward to Dries Van Noten, because he is my favorite designer to wear, and to Chanel, because the show is always beyond what you can imagine," says Fashion Director Cindy Weber Cleary. "Celine always has a strong female point of view, and Lanvin’s Alber Elbaz knows how to translate dreams to reality. Also, Balenciaga, Christian Dior, and Louis Vuitton will surely be interesting thanks to the recent rotation of designers at these three major labels."
Fashion News Director Eric Wilson echoes Weber Cleary's excitement for the highly-awaited Louis Vuitton show: "I'm psyched because the impact that Nicolas Ghesquière's debut collection for fall has been monumental, so I can't wait to see what's in store for spring."
