From Chanel sneakers to Net-a-Sporter, it seems that the past few seasons have seen just about everyone dipping their toes in the athleisure movement. And why not? The trend is taking over thanks to the overwhelming desire for wear-anywhere clothes that are functional for the gym, the office, and just about everywhere in between.
The latest designer to put their hat in the ring is Rebecca Minkoff, who just announced that she's releasing an athletic wear-inspired collection this spring. And judging by the photos, you're definitely going to want to scoop up the line for your wardrobe. Minkoff spoke with WWD about the forthcoming collection, saying it was inspired by an informal survey amongst the women in her office, all of whom said that their weekend uniform consisted mainly of workout clothes.
"I really started noticing that our customer wants to have an even more casual approach to dressing, mixing that feeling of relaxed, but still keeping it chic," Minkoff told WWD. "They’re your everyday clothes. As a lifestyle brand, our goal is to have our girl want to wear us for all of her events and experiences, and this kind of tied into that." The line will include bra tops, leggings, tanks, jackets, sweats, skirts, and dresses in neoprene and spandex with leather and foil accents.
The collection will be priced from $58 to $255, but you'll have to wait until April to get your hands on it. Until then, take a look at celebs wearing the designer's clothing in our gallery.
