This is a birthday we won't forget—Molly Ringwald turns 47 today! One of the best teen stars of all time, she quickly rose to fame from playing lead roles in Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club (which just turned 30, and will be shown in theaters this March to mark the anniversary), and Pretty in Pink. These iconic '80s films garnered her a spot in the Brat Pack, a group of young actors that frequently appeared together in coming-of-age movies.
More recently, Ringwald has switched roles and plays Shailene Woodley’s mom in the hit TV show, The Secret Life of an American Teenager. A mother of three IRL, she's heading back to the '80s in the film Jem and the Holograms, based on the animated series. We can't wait to see which character she plays! In honor of her birthday, we're taking a look at the most iconic movie kisses ever—her smooch with Sixteen Candles hottie Jake Ryan included.
