All Miranda Lambert needs is a dog and some denim. The country singer proved that this has been the case for some time now thanks to an adorable throwback photo that she shared on Thursday.
"Dogs and Denim. #allyouneed #loyalcompanions #somethingsneverchange #TBT," she wrote alongside a too cute photo that shows her as a denim-clad little girl posing with her family dog. And below it? A present day pic of Lambert wearing (you guessed it!) denim and sitting with her current pup in the back of a pickup truck.
Lambert, 32, has been rescuing strays since she was a little girl. With the help of her mother, she founded MuttNation Foundation, a charity that assists shelters, in 2009.
"I have a little plaque in my house that says: 'There is always room for one more dog,'" Lambert told People in 2014. And she believes it. Lambert often has had as many as six dogs at a time.
While she did admit it can be overwhelming at times, the results are worth the efforts. "But it's also rewarding," she said. "They just love you unconditionally and know that you saved them and gave them a better life."
