Getting dressed for a runway show can be challenging: you're surrounded by stylish peers dressed to the nines. It turns out celebrities go through the same quandary. So it's pretty brilliant that Miley Cyrus let the designer do all the thinking for her. To attend Tom Ford's Fall 2015 runway show yesterday, held in Los Angeles, Cyrus, who was accompanied by beau Patrick Schwarzenegger, told us she followed Ford's advice to a T.
"He told me not to wear underwear tonight, so that was his advice, and I took it,” she said, laughing. In fact, Cyrus let Ford pick out her entire ensemble, a black lace floor length look with enough peekaboo to reference the boudoir. "He's one of the rare people where I just let him choose," Cyrus added. "He saw this dress and said that he felt like I was the one he wanted to wear it. And I loved it when I put it on, it felt so good."
Cyrus wasn't the only one clad in head-to-toe Tom Ford. The designer drew a MAJOR front-row crowd, that included Reese Witherspoon, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Lopez,
Scarlett Johansson (sporting a very cool shaved undercut!), Olivia Munn,Sofia Vergara, Julianne Moore, Nicole Richie and Rita Ora. (Karlie Kloss and Gigi Hadid rocked it on the runway.)
Even Cyrus was impressed. "People in LA don't really do things like this; I think we're pretty laid back, so only for Tom I think people would rally up and do it," she said.
And with it being Oscars weekend, she'll probably cross paths with at least one of her front row seatmates today or tomorrow. She's planning on going to Elton John's annual Oscars party. "I've done a lot of work for amfAR this year and AIDS and trying to keep people aware of what I'm passionate about, so going to support that," she explained. Her Oscars night outfit? “I found something [to wear] with some love hearts on it so I thought it would be a nice message for Elton."
