Twenty-three-year-old Miley Cyrus may be a child of the '90s, but she knows a thing or two about '70s music and fashion. (After all, Dolly Parton is her godmother!) And on Tuesday, the "Wrecking Ball" singer hit the streets of New York City in a look that fused the decade's trends with present-day sportswear.
Cyrus rocked a set of high-waisted, wide-legged jeans (that appear to double as overalls) and paired it with what, according to her Instagram post (below), is an $8 Versace knock-off T-shirt adorned with the brand’s signature Medusa head. She gave the ensemble a modern twist with a cropped, black and white striped jacket with floral detailing on the inside and rocked Wayfarer-style sunglasses and a colorful backpack that appears to be a mushroom. Her platinum strands and chunky black platforms were a hit, too, adding a twist of rock star sensibility.
The standout, however, is found in her jewelry game. As she breezed across the city streets—Cyrus has been busy filming her latest project, a new Amazon series directed by Woody Allen—the former Hannah Montana star raised her hand and flashed her super gorgeous engagement ring, courtesy of fiancé Liam Hemsworth.
Is she Hollywood’s coolest bride-to-be? She certainly has her personal style down to a science.
