Kelsey Donohue—who is the Assistant Press Secretary to Michelle Obama—made that dream a reality. The young woman wears a lot of hats in her career, but one of her favorite tasks is managing the First Lady's Snapchat account.
"The most unexpected part of my job I think was just how much creativity was in this office. There's so much great content at the White House, and that's what I always look for," she said in an interview with HelloGiggles. "Everyone always thinks of politics and Washington as kind of this very stodgy government. We could see that [Snapchat] could be a strategic platform for us to use too, and kind of peel back the curtains on the White House. I think that every single day when I get to do that, that's a lot of fun."
As far as career advice goes, the best she's ever gotten came from (no surprise here!) FLOTUS herself. "She said something that really resonated with me, and it's about staying authentic to yourself," Donohue shared. "That no matter what you do, you can happy and find passion in your job as long as you remain authentic to yourself."
