Now this is how you brunch in style.

Barack and Michelle Obama were spotted out and about in New York City on Friday afternoon following a lunch date with U2 frontman and activist Bono, and the couple looked as fashion-forward as ever.

For the power meal, the former First Lady opted for a colorblock black, gray, and white blouse that she tucked into a pair of slim high-waist black trousers. She completed her perfectly polished look with a structured coat, black leather pumps, bold statement earrings, and her go-to Alexander Wang to-handle satchel ($950; shopbop.com). Meanwhile, President Obama ditched his favorite brown leather jacket in favor of something more dapper—a fitted suit and white collared shirt that he left slightly unbuttoned.
