First Lady Michelle Obama celebrated President Obama's re-election in Chicago last night wearing a magenta pintucked high-shine silk dress look by Michael Kors. The American designer, who launched his label 31 years ago, was thrilled to see Mrs. Obama in his design on such an important evening. "Mrs. Obama looked chic and elegant as always on election night," he said in a statement. "My dress, with its strong color, clean lines and feminine silhouette, has all the elements that have become a part of the trademark style of our First Lady." The piece is actually one she's worn before, in 2010 for a military Medal of Honor ceremony at the White House. This time around, she accessorized the look with a 1950s Schreiner magenta rhinestone brooch from House of Lavande.
