Happy birthday, Matthew Morrison! The singer and dancer extraordinaire landed his first Broadway role in Footloose at the age of 19 before later appearing in the hit TV show Glee. Last year, the birthday boy made his return to Broadway in the biggest way possible: as the lead in the hit musical, Finding Neverland.
Born 38 years ago today, Morrison has been working in TV and theater for almost two decades. No stranger to the stage, his résumé now boasts a long list of impressive acting appearances in Broadway and off-Broadway productions, including Hairspray and The Light in the Piazza, for which he received a Tony nomination. For his TV role on Glee, Morrison played WiIl Schuester, a teacher at the fictional show's William Mickinley High School set in Lima, Ohio and appeared in five seasons of the musical-comedy.
Next up for the Glee alum is a return to the big screen with the upcoming drama, Tulip Fever. Morrison joins a star-studded cast, including Alicia Vikander, Cara Delevingne, and Zach Galifianakis, in the period piece, set to debut in February 2017.
