In honor of the little princess's first birthday on May 2, Marc Jacobs is dubbing his newest lipstick hue Charlotte. Jacobs's line of Le Marc Lip Cremès are each named after a woman who has inspired the designer, and while a petal-toned nude paying homage to Duchess Kate would have been the obvious choice, we definitely think it's a sweet gesture to celebrate the newest member of the Royal Family.

So, why the bold hue? Catherine Gore, global VP and general manager of Marc Jacobs Beauty, says that Jacobs was "inspired by the deepest saturated pink tones of an English rose," WWD reports.
