Marc Jacobs is the buzz of New York Fashion Week, and it doesn't even start until next week! The designer is launching an innovative new pop-up shop to promote his bestselling Daisy fragrance that will accept social currency—a tweet, Instagram or Facebook post tagged #MJDaisyChain—in exchange for goods. While temporary shops are nothing new in the fashion world, this twist takes things to a whole other level. The "Daisy Marc Jacobs Tweet Shop" will be open February 7th to 9th, coordinating with New York Fashion Week and the release of a new print campaign for Daisy.
What can you expect at the pop-up? The temporary store will have a lounge, photo booth, food, drinks, and free wifi, as well as Marc Jacobs fragrances and accessories for shoppers to "buy" via social media posts (we aren't sure how the purchasing system will work just yet). Technically, shoppers will receive goods for free, but Marc Jacobs will receive invaluable marketing from all the social media blasts. Who knew your tweets could score you such amazing freebies?
