For her red carpet walk, Madonna dialed up the drama with a burlesque-inspired take, made possible by a custom black-and-lilac Givenchy design featuring a sexy lace corseted bodice, studded detailing at the shoulders, and a frilly asymmetric hemline. The finishing touches? A statement-making veiled topper (a trend that hit the couture shows last month), Wolford fishnets, bicep-high leather gloves, and thigh-high lace-up boots.
She may have looked performance-ready, but Madonna revealed that another custom Givenchy creation was designed specifically for the stage. "They're different in color and they have different shoes," she says. "These boots have nails on them, I can’t wear them for the performance."
If this is just a preview, we can't see what will be in store for the show. One thing's for sure, it's going to be memorable. "Living for love," she says on what she hopes people will be talking about tomorrow. "Bull fighting, love romance, heartbreak."
