Mad Men fans, we've got something special for you, straight from Don Draper himself. While we gear up for the final episodes to begin April 5, we've teamed up with Lionsgate and Mad Men's award-winning costume designer, Janie Bryant, to bring you the ultimate Mad Men giveaway: One lucky reader will score a suit from Don's own closet, worn by Jon Hamm on the show! This one in particular:
Mad Men has never given away a piece from their costume department in this way before, so this is a chance to be a part of the show's history. Plus, this particular outfit is really meaningful: "Don Draper's suits represent his protective armor," Bryant told InStyle. "They're how he hides his true self from the world." The one we're giving away is a gray glen-plaid look, designed by Bryant and produced by Brooks Brothers, inspired by Cary Grant's character in the 1959 film North by Northwest. The prize includes a suit jacket (which features the exclusive Mad Men label Bryant designed herself), suit pants, a shirt, and a skinny navy tie.
So How Do You Win?By channeling the show yourself! To enter the contest, post a picture of yourself in a Mad Men-inspired look on Instagram or Twitter tag it with #MadMenStyle. We'll be gathering all your entries on instyle.com/madmencontest. Costume designer Janie Bryant herself will be selecting the winner based on creativity, charm, and originality. The contest starts today, March 13, and you have until April 30, 2015, to submit your photo. So go ahead, go retro!
