It’s official! Lupita Nyong’o is joining the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII.
She confirmed the news, which was first reported by The Hollywood Reporter, on Instagram by sharing the photo below with the caption: "I can finally say it out loud and proud: I'm going to a galaxy far far away!"
And Nyong'o is not the only leading lady to nab a part in the much-anticipated movie. Gwendoline Christie, who stars as Brienne of Tarth on Game of Thrones, will also be in the film. Both actresses' characters have yet to be confirmed, but we're excited to see them join the star-studded cast, which includes Domhnall Gleeson and Girls’s Adam Driver, as well as original members Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, and Mark Hamill.
