We all knew Lupita Nyong'o was endlessly talented, but who knew she could rap?! Well, apparently she can, and it's amazing.
The 33-year-old Oscar-winner revealed her impressive secret talent on Instagram Monday by way of her rapping alter ego, "Troublemaker." Nyong'o shared a black-and-white mini music video of her sitting in the backseat of a car and spitting some seriously fresh rhymes while an old school beat plays in the background. The Queen of Katwe star looks flawless for her hip hop debut in a white dress with black stripes and a stylish pair of shades.
"Mexican born, Kenya runnin' through my veins / Dark chocolate plus I keep a sharp mane," the rap began. "Lancome fresh face, lookin' tailor-made / Disney on the books, so you know I stay paid!"
According to the caption, the lyrics were penned for her by Miriam A. Hyman (aka Robyn Hood) and the video was directed by her friend Katelyn Manley.
"Introducing my alter ego TROUBLEMAKER. Lyrics: @robynhoodfanz Director: @katiecm @queenofkatwemovie #3million" Nyong'o wrote alongside the video on Instagram, and ended with a reference to her 3 million followers on the social media platform.
You'd better watch you back, Kanye!
