Let the countdown to Nov. 23 begin! As if we weren't excited enough for the American Music Awards, it was announced Monday that Lorde and One Direction will be headlining the award show along with Fergie. Talk about a triple threat.

One Direction will perform a song off their forthcoming album Four while Fergie will perform her new single "L.A. Love." No word yet on what smash hit Lorde, who is nominated for Artist of the Year and three other awards, will perform. Sam Smith, 5 Seconds of Summer, Mary J. Blige, and Charli XCX are also set to take the stage.

Jason Derulo and Charli XCX announced the nominees for the AMAs two weeks ago, with Iggy Azalea leading the pack with six nominations. Catch the American Music Awards live from the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles on Sunday, Nov. 23 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
