Based on the previews, we knew this week's Lip Sync Battle with contenders Gina Rodriguez and Wilmer Valderrama was going to be an epic showdown, but we weren't prepared for the real deal.

The Jane the Virgin actress kicked off Thursday's show by performing Lil Wayne's "A Milli," complete with dreadlocks and a grill. And Valderrama countered with a hot performance of his own: The former That '70s Show star took on the Ricky Martin classic "Livin' la Vida Loca"—and his dance moves definitely got the ladies in the studio riled up.

Things looked neck and neck after the first round, but we hadn't seen anything yet. For Round 2 Valderrama freed his inner '90s boy bander, with help from a graveyard set, backup dancers, a fog machine, and a suit jacket with the sleeves ripped off. The actor performed the Backstreet Boys song "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)" with impressively precise choreography.

Rodriguez also decided to channel the '90s for her second performance with En Vogue's "Free Your Mind." She stepped out in over-the-knee black boots, a crop top, and an extremely high and incredibly long ponytail—and really got into it. She even smashed a guitar at one point!

Host L.L. Cool J ended up crowning Rodriguez the winner, to audience chants of "Gina! Gina!" Valderrama joked that "Second place ... feels amazing." Way to be a good sport.
