What do Lily James and Cara Delevigne have in common? Impeccable brows aside, both British beauties can count themselves as celebrity ambassadors for Burberry's My Burberry fragrance. Today, the label announced that James would be fronting the campaign for My Burberry Black, a deeper, more intense take on the original and is set to drop in August. "I am thrilled to be officially joining the Burberry family. I am so proud to be British, so it really means a lot," the Downton Abbey actress says. "Shooting my first campaign was so special—I don't want to give too much away, but I had a lot of fun showing a different side of myself."
This marks a first for both James and Burberry—it's the star's first-ever beauty campaign, and the first additional scent to be added to the My Burberry family. Like the OG fragrance, My Burberry Black pays homage to the iconic trenchcoat, but is dressed up in an all new amber and black color scheme. The notes have also been adjusted accordingly, mixing jasmine, peach nectar, candied rose, and vanilla to play on the inspiration of an English garden at dusk. We can't wait to spray it on, and to see James's surely-sexy ad campaign, which was shot by Mario Testino. Keep your eyes peeled for both in August!
