Lena Dunham took to Instagram on Sunday to honor her late grandmother in the sweetest way. After Dot passed away on Friday at the age of 96, Dunham chose to remember her with a photo of herself wearing a very special vintage dress for her junior prom.

"My grandma gave me her vintage Dior to wear to junior prom (this is me in 2003, being posed by my mom before my date came.)" Dunham captioned a photo of herself posing with a lamp in her grandmother's green floral dress with sheer bell sleeves and a flattering V-neck. "I call it the Sisterhood of the Traveling Dress because she was so tiny yet somehow this fits everyone."

On the day she died, Dunham posted a recent photo of her stylish grandmother wearing a dramatic black ball gown. "Dorothy Simmons: February 29 1920 - July 15 2016," she wrote alongside it on Instagram. "We love you grandma Dot. Portrait by my mother @lauriesimmons."
