Lena Dunham is making her return to television!

American Horror Story co-creator Ryan Murphy announced in a tweet on Wednesday that the Girls star has signed on for season seven of the FX horror anthology.

"Thrilled that my talented friend Lena Dunham is joining the AMERICAN HORROR STORY family," Murphy tweeted. "Always wanted to work together, and now we r!"

Although Murphy has been decidedly tight-lipped about the details of the upcoming season (save for a few bizarre clues), we do know that it will be based on the 2016 presidential election between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, actors Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters are set to return, and filming began in June. The title of the season is expected to be announced on Thursday.

"Well I don't have a title, but the season that we begin shooting in June is going to be about the election that we just went through. I think that will be interesting for a lot of people," Murphy revealed during an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen back in February.
