Lea Michele is using her star power for a good cause! The actress has teamed up with Evian and the National Breast Cancer Foundation to launch the #FasterThan campaign, whose goal is to educate people on how quick it is to perform regular breast self-examinations.
#FasterThan encourages women and men (yes, breast cancer can affect men, too) to perform and share news of themselves completing the life-saving routine—which is key to early detection when combined with regular medical consultation—via their social media channels using the hashtag.
"The fight against breast cancer is a cause that I deeply care about and a cause that I have long supported," Michele said in a statement. "When I heard that Evian was partnering with the NBCF to launch this campaign, it was an initiative that I wanted to be part of as regular self-examinations are the key in making a positive change in a woman's survival rate."
