Sundance report! At the annual snowy film festival in Park City, laughs are breaking the ice (pun intended). The opening night film, penned by emerging power couple Winston and Melissa Rauch (the husband-wife team writes together and is going 12-years strong), is already being hailed the new Napoleon Dynamite.

The storyline reads like this: Melissa, better known for her work on The Big Bang Theory) plays Hope Annabelle Gregory, a hilariously foul-mouthed, bitter former Olympic bronze medalist gymnast that's equal parts Tonya Harding and Kerri Strug. Aside from dry witticisms courtesy of the Rauches' script, the film also has a laugh-out-loud sex scene featuring Melissa and Sebastian Stan (playing the seedy ex boyfriend and former Olympic medalist).

And the dark humor (think Bad Teacher) is creating more than buzz. Variety reports the indie movie has been picked up by Relativity for a cool $3 million, which means The Bronze will soon be rolling out to theaters nationwide. Who says third place is for losers?
