Lady Gaga has always been a family woman, who regularly returns to N.Y.C. for evenings at home with her parents and late-night pasta sessions at Joanne Trattoria, her father’s restaurant. So it’s not surprising, then, that the 30-year-old pop star spent her Sunday afternoon celebrating a major milestone for one member of her inner circle: The "Born This Way" singer proudly took on godmother duties for her adorable goddaughter, Sistilia Josephine Pontani Newman, at her baptism.
Jazz musician and longtime Gaga friend Brian Newman, Sistilia’s father, took to Instagram to share several too-cute snaps and videos from the celebratory event.
And while little Sistilia was obviously the star of the show, Gaga wowed as well in a pink pastel number that was perfect for a weekend outing. She styled the train- and bow-adorned collared shirtdress with pointed-toe heels, rounded white sunglasses, a flower crown, and a teal blue round handbag that was shaped like a hatbox.
Gaga also took to social media to express her excitement for her family. “So proud to be made one of the Godmother's of our little angel Sistilia. @briannewmanny and his Wife Angie have been my friends since we were kids on the lower east side. It was a beautiful baptism and Italian style feast. We love u sissy!” she wrote as the caption to a timeless photograph of herself holding the baby girl.
She also shared a video of herself with Sistilia:
Gaga joined Newman, her father, and The Dirty Pearls singer Tommy London for the dinner.
