Kylie Jenner said goodbye to her posh Calabasas home to hit the gritty streets of New York for her latest project as the face of Puma. Photographed by Jamel Shabazz, the 18-year-old beauty entrepreneur and reality TV star poses against a variety of backdrops as she rocks the brand’s classic Suede sneaker, which first debuted in 1968.
So what does the star love about the kick? “Its rich and vibrant colors mostly. They really have a depth of color. The deep shades don’t fade quickly and I like the laces,” she said in a statement, explaining that the black and white version are, hands down, her favorite.
In the lead shot above, Jenner poses in a graffiti-covered subway car and rocks a red pair of the shoes with acid wash denim shorts, a black tank, and a red jacket she sports over her arms. Notice her clear, oversize frames and large jewels, two accessories that add a punch of her own personal style to the mix. Additional shots from the campaign find the star posing in front of a motorcycle in a tracksuit and making a phone call inside of a phone booth (talk about old school!) as she shines with two canine companions.
