Happy birthday to Kit Harington, the studly English actor who plays the oh-so-popular Jon Snow on television series Game of Thrones. Today, he turns 29 and we couldn't wait to wish him a happy birthday on his special day.
Born in London, Harington knew he wanted to be an actor from the age of 14. He began starring in several plays and eventually made his way into movies in 2012 as Vincent in Silent Hill: Revelation 3D. From there, it was full speed ahead for the actor who went on to land roles in Pompeii (2014) and he also voiced Eret in How to Train Your Dragon 2 (2014), which won the Golden Globe Award for Best Animated Feature Film.
It was, of course, Harington's role in Game of Thrones that truly thrust him into the limelight and gained him major recognition as an actor. The show debuted in 2011 and has been a major TV hit ever since. Not to mention, Harington was also nominated for a Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor on Television for the role.
What's up next for the actor? Well, in 2016, we can expect to see the Game of Thrones star in the upcoming thriller Brimstone, opposite Dakota Fanning and Guy Pearce. As of now, the release date has not been announced, but you can bet we'll be jumping at the chance to see it once it's announced.
Happy birthday, Kit!
