When it comes to fitness, can you actually have your cake and eat it, too?
If you’re Kim Kardashian West, the answer is a definite yes. Since giving birth to her son Saint West in December, the 35-year-old star has followed a strict Atkins diet that has allowed her to flaunt a slender figure and natural glow. And while the beauty takes her regiment quite seriously (egg whites for breakfast, chicken or salmon for dinner), sometimes, something’s gotta give.
That’s why Kardashian West not only has a plan to combat snacking, but also turns to one delicious dessert item when it’s time to indulge. “The other day I had an ice cream--a Drumstick with caramel in it. I feel like when I do the trail mix it has little M&Ms in it, like chocolate, and it’s an Atkins-approved snack, so I love it. They make it so easy for you,” she tells InStyle.
So what else does she love to munch on? “I love hazelnut, anything like Nutella that has hazelnut, protein bars that have chocolate in them, so there are things that you feel like you’re not cheating, but you’re not deprived at all."
Turns out it is all about balance.
