Of course, we miss Kim Kardashian West’s social media presence—but in its place, we’ve had the chance to learn so much (SO. MUCH.) about the 36-year-old from her friends and family.
In the latest chapter, brought to us via KKW’s app, fashion designer and Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing shared some insights from his time with the star—and that includes some high-profile intel ...
Rousteing described the first dress he designed for Kardashian West, and boy, it's a memorable one. "I think the first that I made for her was ... a long electric blue dress that Kanye requested. And you know what is the most amazing thing about this dress that—I don’t know if I can say it but I’m going to say it I’m sorry Kim I want to say—is the night where North was conceived. I don’t know if I can say, maybe it’s a secret but I know that Kanye told me. So, I just wanted to share with you guys." STOP. THE. PRESSES.
THIS DRESS (below) is the now legendary electric blue piece to which Rousteing refers. (Sorry, teenage North.)
In less racy news, Rousteing also posted some never-before-seen photos of Kim to the app, writing: “All these looks were about celebrating this big fashion moment for Kim in Paris for her wedding… She came to the studio to understand the process of fashion and meet my team. She is so curious which is something I love about her.”
The designer also dropped some incredibly relatable knowledge about Kardashian West’s go-to dessert, fully capturing the scope of her priorities with this quote: "She can be the most glamorous person, she’s going to wear the best outfit, but you don’t mess with her cheesecake.”
To paraphrase Marie Antoinette: Let Kim eat (cheese)cake.
