What does Khloé Kardashian’s baby girl look like? It’s a question begging for an answer, and unfortunately, we suspect the new mom may not share a photo of her newborn for quite some time.
The 33-year-old star gave birth to her first child on Thursday in Cleveland, and although it was expected to be a joyous occasion, things got complicated just a few days ago when allegations of cheating against Tristan Thompson, Khloé’s boyfriend and the father of her child, made headlines. We do know that Thompson was present during the birth, but it would be wise for Kardashian not to share an image of her baby for a while. Why? As the famous Kardashian-Jenners typically do, they’ll likely wait until the new mom is ready to make a broader statement, especially in the wake of the cheating scandal.
Infidelity aside, it’s important to take a look at just how long Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian West waited to share photos of their babies after giving birth. Jenner gave birth to her baby girl Stormi Webster on Feb. 1, and then shared an 11-minute YouTube video that chronicled her pregnancy on Feb. 4. But she didn’t immediately rush to let the world see what Stormi looked like. Instead, she waited until Feb. 6, when she revealed the baby's name and offered a tiny glimpse at her face in this Instagram post.
Kylie kept us guessing, and posted Snapchat footage of Stormi’s foot weeks after we learned her name.
That was followed by this super sneaky shot of her holding the baby.
The first glimpse of her entire face? It came just over a month after her birth, with a Snapchat filter nonetheless.
The first full-face shot we got on Instagram, specifically, arrived on Mar. 12.
And what about Kim Kardashian? While she did things differently with North and Saint West, the mom has maintained an extra layer of secrecy around Chicago West, her third child with Kanye West who she welcomed via surrogacy on Jan. 15.
Four days after the baby girl’s birth, Kardashian West confirmed her name, Chicago, on her website, but she didn’t share an image. Instead, she waited over a month, though that may not have been the plan. Chicago made a seconds-long appearance in the same YouTube video that Kylie shared on Feb. 4 to chronicle her pregnancy.
Of course, Kim made us wait even longer to share a photo of her own, and finally shared the first clear image of Chicago on Mar. 17.
Even so, she’s kept her baby daughter’s privacy a top priority. The first family photo of five was shared after Easter in April, and days later, she shared the first image of her daughter Chicago with just parents Kim and Kanye.
Our point? It’s going to be a while until we learn more about Khloé’s new baby.
