The Scandal star, who’s served as one of the brand’s faces for five years and helped expand its foundation range to include options for more skin tones, has created two new Neutrogena palettes that launched yesterday exclusively at Ulta.com.
The Essential Eye and Cheek Palettes include neutral shades—no blue eyeshadow or orange blush here. The cheek palette has Grateful (matte bronze), Captivating (coral blush), and Elegant (cream-colored highlighter). Together, the three shades are meant to both enhance and give your skin that dewy glow we're all after once the first day of spring hits.
Washington’s eye palette includes five shades that are formulated with a built-in primer so your eye makeup stays smudge-free for up to 12 hours. In it, there's a champagne shadow and four shades of brown that range from taupe to chocolate.
In an interview with People, Washington says that she set out to create palettes with shades that every woman would be able to use. “I have been playing with the colors for a long time and I’m really proud of them because you do have just what you need. It speaks to the name Essential, for sure,” she says.

Her makeup artist Carolina Gonzalez has been playing with the palettes, too. The pro used the duo to create Washington’s makeup look for this year’s Vanity Fair Oscars Party.
The Essential Eye and Cheek Palettes, which are both stamped with Washington’s signature, are available online now at ulta.com, and will launch in Ulta stores on April 22.
