For most children of the '90s, Destiny's Child will always be the OG squad. So with Halloween just around the corner, the girl power triumvirate of Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams is ripe for costume consideration. That's why, when InStyle recently spoke to Rowland, who's pledged to spend the holiday with M&M's doling out 15,000 costumes and packets of candy to underprivileged residents of Newark, N.J. (home of the chocolate treats), we had to ask what her ideal rendering would be.
Die-hard Destiny's Child fans will be pleased to know that she cited none other than the 2001 Grammys, where the girl group memorably took the stage to perform a medley of hits, including "Independent Women" and "Say My Name," in a trio of glittery blue outfits as the perfect example. "I'd recommend midriffs and high boots, all the way," she told InStyle. "That always did it for us." Ladies, you'd be wise to leave your man at home.
