Keira Knightley is no stranger to Chanel. The 31-year-old actress serves as the ambassador for two of the house’s campaigns, the Rouge Coco lip color collection and the Coco Mademoiselle fragrance, and the British beauty recently added another to her name: Chanel’s Coco Crush fine jewelry.
In celebration of the new campaign, Chanel hosted a private dinner party in Knightley's honor Tuesday, on the seventh floor of New York City's Bergdorf Goodman department store. For the event, held at the Jewel Box (a temporary Chanel Fine Jewelry boutique), the actress donned a blue and silver quilted Chanel Haute Couture coat that had a high neck and patterned buttons in the front. Knightley complemented the shine of the knee-grazing piece with a pair of gold multi-strap Mary Jane heels. The Imitation Game actress left her wavy brown strands to hang past her shoulders and kept accessories at a minimum, wearing only a collection of simple silver Chanel Fine Jewelry rings.
Knightley attended the dinner with her husband, musician James Righton, who wore a sophisticated blue suit (below). Guests such as Alexa Chung also enjoyed the festivities, which featured a surprise performance by "Rise Up" singer Andra Day.
Bergdorf Goodman's new boutique displays pieces of Chanel Fine Jewelry in an atmosphere designed to capture the essence and understated glamor of a residential loft in 18th century Paris.
Visit the Jewel Box on Bergdorf Goodman's seventh floor while it’s open to the public: Sept. 7 to 11, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
