The pop singer showed her support for the presidential hopeful on Saturday, Nov. 5 when she rocked a royal blue message-bearing cape dress at a “Get Out the Vote” concert and rally in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
From the front, Perry’s cape appeared to be a flouncy open-front dress, but when the proud democrat turned her back to the audience, she revealed that her Prabal Gurung look bore a trail of white script, reading, “I’m with Madam President.”
Perry later removed the cape to show off an even more flamboyantly patriotic number: a sequined minidress bearing red-and-white stripes on the right half, and white stars against a sparkling blue background on the left, which she wore over a set of metallic blue leggings.
The 11-time Grammy-nominee shared the moment with her 58 million Instagram followers on Sunday, writing, “HILL-ADELPHIA FTW! In less than 3 days be apart of HISTORY and make #HERstory #november8th #VOTE [photo] @taylorehill my [dress] by @prabalgurung.”
If there were an award for most fashionable show of patriotism, Katy Perry would certainly take the prize.
