The Moschino men's and women's Resort 2017 show in Los Angeles was nothing short of whimsical. Style mavens, fashion industry insiders and stars alike headed to the fun-loving parade of looks on Friday evening, bubbling with anticipation, with many dressed in Moschino garb as they waited to see what fashion designer Jeremy Scott had in store.
As they entered the white tent where the show was held, they walked into a colorful wonderland filled with giant balloons of all shapes and sizes with a runway carved around the room in front of the star-studded front row. Katy Perry arrived in a Swarovski crystal-encrusted, body-hugging, black Moschino ensemble and sky-high black boots, rocking her hair in a blunt lob and topping her look with a gold nose ring.
As she took her seat to support her BFF Scott, the “Roar” songstress took selfies with Caitlyn Jenner, who arrived with Candis Cayne, looking glam in a lip-printed Moschino dress and boots. Perry couldn’t help but gush over Scott at the show, telling InStyle, “I love Jeremy. I love that he’s in L.A. I love that he brought [his collection] to L.A. He’s very unusual and we have the same kind of attitude towards life. We don’t take anything too seriously, but we have the most fun. We travel the world together. He’s one of my best friends.”
The pop star wasn’t the only one singing his praises. Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber’s 14-year-old statuesque daughter Kaia Gerber, who wore a printed Moschino jacket to the show, also dished to us about why she loves his work. “I just love how colorful and exciting it is, and I think Jeremy Scott really dares to do what he wants to and be as creative as he wants to be, which is so refreshing,” she said.
The budding model sat in the front row of the show with her parents and a couple of friends. Meanwhile, mom-to-be Jurnee Smollett-Bell, who covered her baby bump in a printed suit, was also seated in the front row, as was Scandal star Serayah, Christina Milian, Vanessa Hudgens, Jhene Aiko, Big Sean and Bella Thorne.
Thorne, who sported a Moschino t-shirt under a strapless dress, ripped fishnet stockings, hot pink booties and a tiara, hit the show with her sister Dani Thorne, and told us she was thrilled to get creative with her look for the event. “It’s so much fun getting to dress up because you can actually dress up,” she said. “Most runway shows you’re playing it cool, chill.”
As the show began, models like Miranda Kerr, Devon Aoki and Alessandra Ambrosio strutted around the room in floral prints, '60s-inspired ensembles and black lace numbers, with Hailey Baldwin and Gigi and Bella Hadid’s brother, Anwar Hadid, making appearances in the show as well.
