Katy Perry appears to be in the midst of a style transformation (at least for the spring). While the "Roar" crooner is known for her bold, statement-making ensembles, she has been making a fashion statement in a different way of late, opting for chic looks that have taken our breath away.
Following the jaw-dropping, red Marchesa gown she wore to the amFAR Gala in Cannes, France last month, the pop star stunned again when she rocked an Oscar de la Renta pre-fall 2016 petal-pink, bow-neck halter blouse and black pencil skirt to the "Cindy Sherman: Imitation of Life" preview at the Broad Museum in Los Angeles Wednesday night.
Perry completed the sophisticated look with minimal jewelry, giving it an edge with a thin gold nose ring and a pop of color with pink suede pumps. After attending the artsy event, Perry paid tribute to Sherman's photographic exhibit with a snap of her own on Instagram, posting a selfie that showed her puckering up to a throwback photo of Sherman. "What a legend. #cindysherman," she captioned it.
While Perry hasn't let on just yet about what influenced her latest style switch-up, she has proven she can do chic and sophisticated just as well as she pulls off playful stylings. We can't wait to see what she wears next.
