This is a prime example of one great paying tribute to another.
To celebrate her 42nd birthday in England on Saturday, Kate Moss ditched the typical cake and candles and instead helped shine a brighter light on the late David Bowie, who sadly passed away on Jan. 8 after an 18-month battle with cancer. The legendary model tasked guests with making sure the legendary rock star didn't go forgotten at her party.
For the themed affair, Moss and fashion designer Pam Hogg were photographed by friend Mert Alas in leather, sequined, and high-platformed looks that reflect the scope of Bowie’s oeuvre and artistic sensibility.
It was evident that guests like Boy George definitely enjoyed the night out:
Had a lovely night in the Cotswolds celebrating Kate Moss's birthday and dancing to classic Bowie. In fact her birthday was a Bowie tribute!— Boy George (@BoyGeorge) January 17, 2016
Moss’s remembrance of the late star and friend wasn't boxed into one evening, though. Last Monday photographers captured the beauty zipping through London in a black-and-white graphic shirt featuring Bowie’s face and purple boots, leather pants, a fringe coat, and a matching top hat—we imagine the performer would have approved.
