Serena Williams has a lot to celebrate today: She won her Wimbledon semifinal match to advance to the championship's women's singles final on Saturday—and celebrated in true royal fashion with the Duchess of Cambridge! Williams took to Snapchat after her match to share a video of herself with two royals: Kate Middleton and Sophie, Countess of Wessex, who had both watched her victory on center court.
In her Snapchat debut, Middleton smiles at the camera in her recycled yellow Roksanda dress and brings Sophie in for an embrace in the frame.
“I’m in the ‘in-crowd’ now—I’m with royalty!” Williams says in the clip. Watch it below, and follow the tennis star on Snapchat (username: SerenaUnmatched):
The defending Wimbledon champ was on court for less than an hour today as she beat Elena Vesnina in straight sets to reach the women’s singles final. Her older sister, Venus Williams, wasn’t so lucky: She lost to Angelique Kerber in her semifinal match, squashing hopes of a Williams sister final this weekend. Tomorrow the action continues as Roger Federer takes on Milos Raonic and Brit Andy Murray goes head-to-head with Tomas Berdych to try to reach the men’s singles final.
