With Memorial Day weekend just days away, Kate Middleton has provided us with the perfect outfit inspiration as we start mentally packing our bags for a getaway. The Duchess of Cambridge stepped out in Portsmouth on the southern coast of England on Friday in a chic nautical look.

Wearing an Alexander McQueen cream blouse with naval uniform–type detailing and a matching navy skirt, Middleton looked perfectly ready for a seaside excursion. The royal kept her accessories classic with a quilted clutch, gemstone earrings, and blue pumps.

The duchess visited the city in order to open the 1851 Trust visitor center. The royal is an avid supporter of the charity, which uses sailing and the marine industry to "help students engage with the science, technology, engineering, and math":

Middleton met with youngsters at a workshop before suiting up to set sail herself. She donned a black jacket and pants and strapped on a life vest and helmet to board the Land Rover BAR T1 boat to for a training session on the Solent river.

This isn’t the only charity that Middleton has gotten active for: Last week she boxed at an event—in a skirt and heels, no less—to promote the benefits of physical activity for mental health.
