Even for someone who has traveled to as many places as the Duchess of Cambridge, we bet a trip to the set of one of your favorite TV shows has got to be up there on your bucket list. And luckily for Kate Middleton, she can soon tick that off her list since she's scheduled to visit Downton Abbey’s filming location, Ealing Studios, on Tuesday, March 12.
Kensington Palace announced that the official royal engagement had been arranged to "celebrate the success of the award-winning production."
As part of the visit, Middleton will meet cast members including Dame Maggie Smith, Hugh Bonneville, and Elizabeth McGovern (who play the Dowager Countess and Lord and Lady Grantham) during a 90-minute tour.
The duchess will be greeted by the show's creator and writer Julian Fellowes and will be shown the makeup, costume, and set-building departments of the studios. She'll also get a sneak preview of the show's sixth season as she watches a scene being filmed in the servants' quarters. We're fairly certain that Middleton will have no problem staying quiet about plot spoilers.
