After last year's cold-weather freak-out (aka the Polar Vortex) that suspended parts of the U.S. in an ice globe, many designers made sure to arm their fall/winter 2014 designs with soft, warm shearling. Some added subtle touches of the wooly textile while others were more heavy-handed in their approach and blanketed shoes and bags in the fluff.
And it looks as though Kate Bosworth has already started to embrace fall's coziest trend. While on location in Vancouver, Canada, to film Life on the Line, the style star was snapped stepping up her shearling game with a pair of plush-lined saffron Coach hiker boots that strike the right blend of utilitarian-cool and sporty-chic. Best of all, they gave her classic white tee-and-denim combo (hers are 3x1 skinnies) a tough-girl, no-nonsense spin.
With the recent drop in temps, especially on the East Coast, there's no time like the present to warm up to the idea of snuggling up with shearling. Start with Bosworth's Coach "Urban" boots that are available now at coach.com for $395.
