Karina Smirnoff had one inspiration in mind when designing her outfits for this week’s Dancing with the Stars routine with Baltimore Ravens star Jacoby Jones: JAZZ. “The plan is to incorporate purple into every costume, but my goal this week was to make sure these outfits brought us back to the origins of 1950s jazz,” Smirnoff told InStyle.com of the yellow plaid trousers and fedora-topped ensembles she created to dance to Louis Jordan’s “Five Guys Named Moe.” And she did incorporate purple, too—the trench coats they wore to start the routine came off to reveal purple suspenders that represented Jones’s team. "I loved that we were able to maintain the masculine and feminine feel to the costumes even though they so closely resembled one another," Smirnoff told InStyle.com. The pair scored 23 out of 30 for their energetic performance, but is it enough to make the next round? Find out during the live results show at 9/8c tonight on ABC.
