New York Fashion Week is just underway, and 15-year-old Kaia Gerber is taking advantage of her time in N.Y.C. in every way. The rising model (and Cindy Crawford look-alike) was spotted out with dad Rande on Wednesday, beaming on the fun family outing.
Kaia showed off her endless legs in a pair of high-waist denim cutoffs and a white crop top, accessorizing with a long printed duster, round sunnies, a Lili Claspe choker ($70; liliclaspe.com) and a pair of white Adidas Stan Smith sneakers ($75; nordstrom.com). The teen walked arm-in-arm with dad on Madison Avenue for some window-shopping, and spotted a familiar face in a storefront.
“Wonder who that is,” she joked as she posed in front of portraits of herself at Chrome Hearts’ N.Y.C. store at 870 Madison Avenue. The teen was just named as the face of the brand’s spring 2016 campaign, and stuns in a black trench in the photographs. “What a privilege it has been to watch Kaia blossom into her own,” said company co-owner Laurie Lynn Stark earlier this year.
The new model has certainly come into her own, and she’s about to receive the award to prove it: Kaia will be honored with the breakthrough model of the year award at Thursday’s Daily Front Row Fashion Media Awards.
We’re predicting that we’ll see a lot more of this rising star in the future.
