The final season of AMC’s Mad Men premieres on April 5, and although we can’t wait to watch the last seven episodes, we already know that we’ll be sad to see the characters that we’ve come to know and love go. As it turns out, we’re not the only ones. We caught up with Jon Hamm, aka Don Draper on the show, at AMC’s Black and Red ball in Los Angeles on Wednesday night to celebrate the final season, where the actor let us know that he’s going to miss the character just as much.

“It’s unlike anything else in my career,” Hamm told InStyle of playing Draper. So what exactly will he miss? “The short answer is everything. It’s been an incredible honor to be able to play this guy for this long and in this particular sandbox."

And although Hamm says that he can’t steal anything from the set (“Anybody that tells you they took anything … stole it!” he joked), there is one thing the actor would love to take with him. “I’d like to take Don’s car. That Cadillac is gorgeous. But I can’t afford it.”
