The Brooklyn-born native made his television break back in 1997 when he hosted Win Ben Stein's Money game show. During his tenure, Kimmel earned a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Game Show Host (which he shared with co-host Ben Stein) in 1999 and was nominated again in 2000.

Kimmel then launched his own production company, creating shows including Crank Yankers on Comedy Central. As Kimmel made a name for himself, ABC tapped into the star as a late night host for his namesake show, Jimmy Kimmel Live! The show first aired in 2003 and has since garnered Kimmel countless Primetime Emmy nominations. The rest, as they say, is comedic history.
